The Position:

Currently we have an opening for Senior QA for our esteemed MNC client, in Singapore. The details of the position are as follows:

Primary roles and responsibilities
· Work closely and collaborate with all cross functional interfaces ranging from globally distributed Product development, Program, Management and Product Marketing to various QA teams
· Proactively participate in the product requirements review process and align the test planning and test execution methodology with the agile development approach – In other words, agile testing
· Determine the total breadth and depth of testing required for a given product when developing test cases in order to ensure product will meet company quality standards and customer expectations when released
· Work independently to design & develop test suites (which include performance, scalability, load/stress, integration, security testing) that are adaptable to changes and are re-usable.
· Develop Performance Test Strategy and Plan for the applications (eg test approach, identify environment, identify tools, etc)
· Determine the performance and capacity criteria; as well as the types of performance testing and the types of monitoring required for each project
· Identify, recommend and establish performance benchmarks for the products and develop quality indexes
· Provides self-direction in response to changes to requirements and specifications and update the test plans and related quality documents accordingly
· Walkthrough the QA Performance Test Cases and the QA Performance Test Plan with the QA Team prior to execution
· Plan, design, development, strategize and execute tests using automated testing tools (SilkTest, SilkPerformer) and/or C++/Java languages.
· Coordinate/Document actual test results, provide status reports and manage and track all issues found related to performance testing from beginning to end

Position Requirements
· Master or excellent Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or Computer Engineering.
· 5+ years QA experience in testing enterprise software applications including automated testing infrastructure
· Must have significant experience testing client/server and database applications
· Must have experience testing Java based applications both in Windows and Linux environment
· Solid experience with Oracle and SQL databases
· Strong QA Skills on planning, bug isolation, bug report writing and troubleshooting
· Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and must be able to work through complex problems independently
· Experience analyzing functional requirements and design specifications in order to effectively derive test strategies, test plans and ultimately test cases
· Experience developing and executing test scripts (Borland SilkTest strongly preferred)
· Strong experience in SDLC & QA methodologies (black/white box testing, system/integration testing.)
· Experience with Automation, VMWare, and automation tools such as SilkTest, SilkPerformer, Winrunner etc.
· Strong experience in defining and building of performance/scalability/stress benchmarks
· Detail-oriented, quality-focused and demonstrated the ability to learn fast.
· Familiarity of databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, DB2.

Understanding of change management and requirements management
Proficient at writing technical publications.
