Yayasan Inovasi Teknologi (YIT, or the Foundation for Technology
Innovation), is a not-for-profit Indonesian foundation established
on January 17, 2008. With a mission to improve the livelihoods of
Indonesian citizens through technology development, YIT grew out of
the Indonesia Recognition and Mentoring Program (RAMP) established
in May 2006. YIT's programs address three development sectors, as
follows: a. Technology Support the development and dissemination of
innovative technologies that can provide social benefits and
affordable solutions to the problems faced by poor communities. b.
Education Support educational activities focusing on
technopreneurship (technology entrepreneurship) for dissemination in
poor communities. c. Society Empower communities to develop and
disseminate technologies that can contribute to the alleviation of
poverty and economic development.

Yayasan Inovasi Teknologi (YIT) was established in January 2008 with
the aims of facilitating the development of inventive and innovative
technologies on water, energy health, agriculture and biodiversity
that can improve productivity, efficiency and livelihood of the
communities; giving recognition to inventors/innovators whose
technologies have proven to create impacts to the betterment of
people's lives; and fostering the growth of students with inventive
and entrepreneurial minds that lead to the creation of employment
and/or capacity in creating new jobs for the communities. YIT is
now recruiting an Executive Director with the following requirements.
Function:-
The Executive Director shall manage the operation of YIT in all
administrative and operational matters, including managing its
activities, initiating plans and programs, appointing and
supervising staff members, raising funds and performing any other
functions and responsibilities entrusted to him/her by the Board of
Trustees and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:-
1. Minimum of 5 years experience in non-profit management as an
executive director, director or senior manager.
2. Proven experience in working with international organizations.
3. Solid program and financial management skills including ability
to effectively invest in organizational development, improvements,
programs and events.
4. Experience in making organization policies and procedures,
strategic and business plans, and programmatic work plans.
5. Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal in Bahasa
Indonesia and English.
6. Proven fund development endeavors, either through an earned
income operation and/or fundraising programs.
7. Ability to network and build relationships with local partners,
corporations, donors, as well as the communities to foster a
mutually beneficial result.
8. Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, finance, accounting, and
cost control procedures.
9. Proven self management skills including time management, problem
solving and priority setting, and capable of working productively
and efficiently.
10. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and proven
success with managing, leading and encouraging staff with very
diverse backgrounds, cultures, and personalities.
11. Knowledge of computer applications and information systems for
office works and making presentations to external stakeholders.
12. Minimum Bachelor's degree in developmental subject with Masters
preferred.
The post will be based in
Jakarta with frequent visits/trips
domestically and internationally. The appointment is for a
renewable term of one year starting 19 from May 2008. Interested
