A major oil refining company is looking for an Environmental Technician to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Basic Functions: Inspection, basic maintenance and testing of multimedia (air, water and solid) portable environmental monitoring equipments used in an oil complex including stack monitoring equipment, PID, FID analyzers, etc, maintaining inventory of spares for these equipments, record keeping of all related items managed by the environmental team. Assist Sr. Environment Engineer and Environment Engineers in their activities for routine environmental monitoring and environmental data collection. Participates in the preparation of HSE Inspection plans, HSE Campaigns and other HSE activities. Any other environment related activities assigned by the Sr. Environment Engineer and/or Environment Engineer. Provides a monitoring and advisory service on equipment condition and reliability, using modern techniques and equipment. Provides trouble shooting/problem solving service to site. B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 8 years mechanical maintenance experience including 5 years working on rotating equipment in a gas processing plant and at least 3 years supervisory experience. Good written and spoken English. Metering Technician Monitors, maintains and troubleshoots the operation and performance of gas and liquid metering systems deployed at Qatargas facilities. Performs system verification and calibration checks in accordance with written procedures. Performs preventive maintenance on line when required and off line during shutdown. Frequently monitors the gas and liquid metering systems for operating inconsistencies, reporting to the Metering Supervisor. Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, followed by a formal course in instrumentation or electrical trades equivalent to 2 years full time. 5 years experience in the maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting techniques of a variety of instrumentation and control systems, typically in the oil, gas or petrochemical industries. Familiar with measurement standards such as API, ISO and AGA. Good written and spoken English.
